The Judges
All auditionee’s will perform for a panel of three judges, and with one pantomime producer and two panto Fairy’s on the panel, auditioning for the Panto Factor 2011 won’t be an easy ride. Find out more about the panel below...
Jamie Alexander Wilson
Jamie is the Producer responsible for the successful return of pantomime to the Sevenoaks venue. In 2009-10 he produced Dick Whittington starring Michelle Gayle. In 2010-11 he brought Graham Cole to the Stag, to star in Jack and the Beanstalk. This Christmas, his production of Mother Goose, starring legendary Eastenders villain Leslie Grantham is set to break box office records at the venue.
Jamie has been working in the theatre industry since he was sixteen, where he started in the traditional manner, sweeping the stage and shifting scenery for the run of a pantomime in Maidstone, Kent. Since then Jamie has either appeared in, directed, produced or written more than thirty pantomimes.
Jamie is in demand all over the world as a practitioner and director. This year his work as a director has taken him to Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Lanzerote, Fuertaventura, Tunisia, Portugal, Jersey, Greece, and Cyprus, as well as the UK.
Anna Kumble
Anna is probably best known as the pop artist Lolly, and was the most successful female British recording artist of 1999, with five top ten hits, two Gold Albums, a Brit Award nomination, and over one million records sold, including Hey Mickey and Viva la Radio.
Anna has enjoyed a successful career as a television presenter, appearing regularly on CBBC, GMTV, Disney, Nickelodeon, CITV, MTV and even as a guest presenter on Blue Peter!
In the West End, Anna has played roles including Buffy/Ashley in Starlight Express (Apollo Victoria), and Priscilla Presley in Elvis (Prince of Wales). Anna is no stranger to pantomime, with credits including Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington (Weston-super-mare), the title role in Snow White (Horsham and Derby), and Tinkerbell in Peter Pan (Brighton).
Anna played the Fairy in the Stag’s first professional pantomime for many year, Dick Whittington, and is returning to Sevenoaks this Christmas, to play principal girl in Mother Goose.
Jasette Amos
Jasette began her singing career in a gospel choir seventeen years ago, and since then has gone on to sing with some of the biggest artists in the world, including Elton John, Madonna and Lionel Ritchie.
Jasette has recorded with Grammy Award winning Basement Jaxx, and pop legend Boy George. Jasette landed a leading role in the West End hit musical Daddy Cool, and went on to tour the world with the show.
Last year, Jasette fulfilled a dream of playing a panto Fairy, when she was cast in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Stag Theatre Sevenoaks. Jasette was also a regular judge on Panto Factor 2010, and is looking forward to helping to find this years panto Fairy.
Roger Kasper (Guest Judge, Panto Factor Final)
Roger Kasper, editor of the Chronicle, will join the panel of the Panto Factor for the final, on 29 September.
Roger has been a judge at the final of Panto Factor for the last two years, and has been a keen supporter of the Stag’s Christmas show, since its return in 2009.
As a key figure in the town, and an experienced judge, Roger has high standards, and is always looking for the best possible option for the town he loves!
